Guadalajara - the Spanish province located in the northern part of Castile - La Mancha. It borders on provinces of Cuenca, Madrid, Segovia, Soria, Zaragoza, and Teruel. It is one of the most unknown provinces of Spain, despite its affinity with Madrid (55 km). And it is a pity. As it has a rich monumental heritage and a tremendous landscape.
There is a splendid moor there in La Alcarria - the edge immortalised in various literary works and of interesting art heritage. In Torija you can see a castle with a sheltered ethnographic museum, devoted to La Alcarria ; Hita, with its beautiful main square and an arcade, also it is well-known for that Juan Ruis Arcipreste, one of the most important castillian authors in the Middle Ages there was born. Nearby there is Jadraque which fencing was stretched up to an impressive castle. And also Cogolludo, with its Ducal Palace.
