The Galician coastline is characterized by high cliffs and deep inlets (estuaries). It is known by the most impressing beach in country´s geography, the Beach of Cathedrals. It is in municipality Ribadeo, on the border with Asturias.It is better to visit this beach during low inflow and outflow as during a full flood a beach line practically disappears. It has received a name of Cathedrals thanks to the whimsical form which the sea and the wind have modified a stone so that any of its walls seemed arches of churches. To the south, between the cities of El Ferrols and Valdovino, to our look the tremendous lagoons surrounded with by sand dunes will open. Magnificent and windy enough 3-km beach of Fruhejra (Frouxeira) here lies. Bay waters are often restless, therefore here like to have a rest wind-surfers.
