ADVICES

Safety

Marbella is not a dangerous city, but we must take some precautions. Bikes are not ensured, thus the customer will pay in case of damage or theft. We strongly recommend locking the bike using the back wheel and try to keep it in sight. At night bikes should not be left on the street. Let us know if you do not have any space and we will keep it in our facilities.

Return
It is compulsory to leave a deposit of 150 euros (in cash or by credit card) that will be refunded once we check the bike is in good condition.

Flat tyre
In case of flat tyre bring it to us or use at a garage at your discretion, We will supply the customer with a new one. But the client must pay for this kind of damage.

Paseo Maritimo y Old Town.
Be careful with some areas of the promenade where cycling is not allowed, check the map. Police could fine you.
There is also a section at the level of Río Verde, which must run on the sand and here we indicate the alternative route.

Below you will find a selection of our rental bikes.  Prior to each rental, all the hire bikes that are offered are washed and fully revised by our expert mechanics to ensure that you receive them in a perfect working condition.


All off-road mountain bikes come with: 1 bottle holder, pump, 1 spare tube & tyre levers.
All urban bikes come with: high security lock.

At the time of the rental please ensure that you have a valid PASSPORT and CREDIT CARD – without these items you can not hire a bike!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The leasing company leases to the lessor the bike/s outlined and agree to comply with the terms and provisions that set out herein, affixing his signature as proof of compliance with the terms thereof.

1. - STATE OF THE BIKE

The lessor delivers the bike/s and accessories in good working order and maintenance, provided with all its parts and accessories, giving it under the lessor by signing this contract and agrees to use diligence and care, meet the standards of the Driving Code and other rules of Road Safety.

2. - USE OF THE BIKE

The customer must take care and all necessary precautions to protect bicycles and rented equipment from damage, loss or theft. Of occurrence of any of the above situations during the rental period, the customer will immediately all the replacement costs incurred at market prices. At the end of the rental period The Grand Selection representative will determine the terms of delivery of the rented equipment and assess where appropriate, losses or damages. The customer is required at all times properly use the lock provided on bicycles when they do not have the light (pass the lock through the frame, seat and wheels and tie/s bike/s to a post fixed to the ground or parking for bicycles. It is recommended in any case keep them as long as possible and not leave bicycles outside overnight.
The customer is the only responsible for the use of the bike/s by another ensuring that they meet the physical qualities and knowledge to use.
It´s prohibited:

Participate in competitions, official or not.
Ride bike/s under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
Ride bike/s outside the Peninsula/Spain (Portugal, Gibraltar)
Lessor shall not assign, lease, pledge, sell or hypothecate the bike/s or any part or accessory thereof.
Manipulate the elements of the bike, mechanical or otherwise, without the express written permission of the lessor. Except flat tire, which compensation is authorized, but the amount will be paid by the lessor in case of failure to reach our facilities.

3.- DURATION OF THE CONTRACT AND RETURN OF THE BIKE

Bike/s are returned to the place, date and time stipulated on the front and always a person duly identified as responsible or employee of The Grand Selection. Any alterations must be authorized by the landlord. After waiting 24 hours on the day they return, the company landlady is empowered to remove the bike/s if it´s found failing to initiate proceedings and file a complaint for misappropriation or theft, as appropriate.

All costs involved in recovery bike/s or material submitted, including the stay, will be the risk of the lessee. Any delay in the return on the hour and date specified in this contract, without notice or communication by the lessee will be billed at 200% of standard rates.

4.- RENTAL CHARGES

The lessor agrees to pay, in addition to rental charges bike/s tax is determined at the standard rate, the loss caused by of tools and accessories, and all fines and court costs for traffic offenses motivated or laws relating to the use of bike/s, and any damage caused to the bike/s and hired equipment.

lessee to the lessor to be owing the on the credit card or deposit provided, all costs Pertaining to those charges

5 - ACCIDENTS

You must communicate the Grand Selection immediately of any incident occurring during the rental.
You cannot leave the bike/s without taking appropriate measures to protect against further damage and in any case consult the procedure with one of our.
The Lessee will be insured with adequate coverage for risks that may arise during the rental period. The Grand Selection not be liable for claims for accidents, injury, shock or damage to themselves and other people or property, or for loss of items during the rental period.

6.- TROUBLE SHOOTING AND REPAIR

The lessor must inform the leasing company of losing, damage or failure to suffer the bike/s in case these would prevent safe driving, you should not use it until the damage has been repaired or damage.
The mechanical wear during normal use of the bike/s is assumed by the lessor, however not reimburse the lessor for any expenses for repairs that were not expressly authorized by the landlord.
In case of damage the lessor agrees to repair, replacement or refund if the rent on time proportion basis, provided that the damage was not caused by misuse or negligence by the leasing company.
